Brookings’ Tetzlaff named All-State honorable mention

Brookings senior Bergan Tetzlaff was named as a Class AA All-State Basketball honorable mention last week. He joins eight other Brookings area players that were honored in boys and girls basketball.
On the girls’ side, Arlington senior Jaelyn Huntimer was named the Class B Player of the Year.
Boys Class AA
Tetzlaff was honorable mention after averaging 15.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this year. He will be playing football at South Dakota State next year.
Class A
Sioux Valley senior Brady Hiltunen and Flandreau senior Luke Sheppard were honorable mentions in Class A.
Hiltunen averaged 17 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists this season.
Sheppard averaged 16.3 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game this year.
It was the first All State honor for both players.
Class B
Deubrook Area senior Chance Schoenfeld and Iroquois/Lake Preston junior Lucas Peskey each made an All-State team in Class B.
Schoenfeld made the Second Team after averaging 19.3 points and eight rebounds this year. He also had 48 blocks. Schoenfeld will walk-on at North Dakota State next year.
Peskey made the Third Team after averaging 19.6 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this season. He also had 56 steals this year.
Girls Class B
Huntimer earned Player of the Year honors after averaging 28.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game thisseason and also had 77 steals.
She will be playing at Dordt University next season.
Another future Dordt player was named to the Class B All-State First Team in ColmanEgan senior Brynlee Landis. She helped lead the Hawks to their first State Tournament since 2009 and averaged 20.5 points, 8.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
Class A
Sioux Valley junior Kailey Cradduck and Flandreau junior Morgan Sheppard landed on the Class A Second Team.
Cradduck averaged 15.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game this year. She helped guide the Cossacks to their second-straight State Tournament appearance.
Cradduck was a Third Team AllState selection in 2025.
Sheppard averaged 17.4 points, nine rebounds and 2.8 assists per game this year. She was an honorable mention in 2025.
